Supporting Evidence - Prototypes + Intentions for my Issue 1 and 2 front covers.

Supporting Evidence - Brand Identity.

  Font Styles:

The three fonts that I would like to use would be:

PEEP MingLiU-ExtB- I will use this font for my magazine heading my contents page heading and my website heading. And I will also use this font for general writing on my website and magazine front cover when talking about different stories, as well as my contents page when writing up my call to actions and other details needed.

PEEP – “Broadway” – I will use this font for my sub-headings for my magazine, contents page and website.

PEEP – “Basic Sans SF” - I will use this font when writing up stories on my contents page under the sub-headings.

My logo:

I would like to have a bird as my logo as I feel like the name   PEEP gives off bird imagery. I would use this on my contents page, and my website page. I have learnt from doing my magazine front cover and have improved by adding my logo to my contents page and website page.

Graphics:

My overall theme is to make my magazine look fun to appeal to my age group of 16-25-year olds, but also to make it look wealthy. I feel like I have achieved this by adding funky and wavy banners on my magazine as well as different shapes and puffs advertising competitions, and also using different shaped bullet points to match the theme of my magazine. Such as, on my Issue 2 magazine the main story was “Environmentalist of the year award,” so I used leaf bullet points on my bottom banner to link to this story. I would improve by adding silver to my magazine front covers to help the magazine look wealthy, though I will improve by adding silver to my contents and website pages.

My Colour Scheme:

For my colour scheme I am using the colours: Green, Silver, Black and White, I will use this colour scheme on my Magazine front covers, my contents page and my website. I will do it as my main colour being green and do outlines of black, silver and white. Also, I will do some sections written in white and also do a little pop of colour on my magazine front covers, from what’s already in the background of my magazine front cover image, to make my magazine look more interesting and fun.

Supporting Evidence - How I edited my magazine website images.

First I started to crop around my picture deleting the parts that I didn't want to be shown, to have the      main focus be on the face, I did this by using the crop tool.

Next, I changed the light levels using `ctrl l`, I did this to try and brighten up the face and eyes as            much as possible as that is the main focus on the picture.

I then adjusted my sharpness levels I did this to make details in the eyes stand out and make the              photo all together look sharper.

This is the Final edited picture, I feel as though I achieved what I wanted the picture to look like by making it look more enhanced and brighter. I wanted the main focus to be on the eyes as that is what one of my stories on my website is going to be on, with `the way we look at the world.`

Supporting Evidence - How I edited my magazine issue 2 picture.

First I opened up the picture that I wanted to use for my Issue 2 from cover, then I started to                   crop any of the picture that I didn't want to include using the cropping tool.

Then I changed the light levels of the picture using `ctrl l`, this which enabled me to enhance and            change the amount of light reflected on my picture to make it as bright or shadowed as I'd like.

I then adjusted the sharpness of my picture by clicking on the top left hand corner on 'enhance then adjust sharpness.` This enabled me to make my picture look sharper and make more of the features stand out and look more defined.

This is my final finished picture after editing, my main focus was just to brighten the picture up and
make it look sharper without taking the realism out of the photograph by over editing it and making it
look fake. I feel that I have achieved this by using the tools and skills I have learnt on the platform to
create what I wanted my  picture to look like.
